The Operation of Faith: We are the Resurrection

Ensure you read Yesterday's Sunrise

We have finally completed the Operation of Faith according to Colossians 2:9-14!

I have highlighted each step with links to the teachings to which they apply.

1. When we cried out to God for salvation, our soul was taken out of the flesh (Col 2:13),

3. Our souls were then placed in the Holy Spirit (Col 2:10), this transformed us into spiritual beings. Being baptised into the Eternal Spirit also allowed us to be carried to Christ's death on the cross, and in Hell. However, it caused us to also partake in His resurrection in hell (Col 2:12).

4. The Holy Spirit (with our souls in Him) then enters our body, raising it from the dead. We are thus a new creature, raised in the newness of life.

See below for a video on the entire operation.

This is what it means to be born-again. We have been raised to life from the dead. The old man and his deeds are destroyed and we are truly new in every sense. The body, spirit, and soul, have all been sanctified. Now the life we live in the flesh is through the faith of Christ (the Holy Ghost).

However, there is one more dot that we must connect.

We learned in step 4 that Holy Spirit entered our bodies, quickening it alive. However, I want to show you something.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

The human body without a spirit is dead.

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Here we see James 2:26 confirmed. In Genesis, God had formed the human body, however, it had not come to life until he placed a soul in the body.

Thus a body can only be alive if a soul is in it. The soul that is in the flesh defines who the body belongs to. Thus, Tina's body is alive because Tina's soul is positioned in the flesh. Why is this important? See the scripture below.

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Apparently, our souls are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit. We learned this in step 3 of the Operation of Faith (above), how that our souls have been baptised into the Spirit of Christ. Because of this we are no longer in the flesh. It is Christ who is in the flesh. Thus, the principle remains the same. The soul that is in the flesh defines who the body belongs to. In the case of the sons of God, it is Christ who is in the flesh. Thus, our body belongs to Christ.

I want to show you something.

Romans 6:6

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

We learned in the Circumcision of the Flesh, that the old man is the body of sin. We also learned why, it was because the mystery of iniquity was in operation in our bodies. Satan had produced sin in the flesh. Thus, the old man was manifestation of sin in the flesh. However, consider the next scripture.

Colossians 3:9-10

Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

If the old man was the body of sin, so is the new man. The New Man is the body with the Holy Ghost in it. Once again, the soul/spirit that is in the flesh defines who the body belongs to. Seeing that Christ is in the flesh, the body belongs to Christ.

The New Man, is Christ Jesus manifested in the flesh. We have put on this new man. Our bodies are thus of Christ.

Galatians 3:27

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Galatians 3:27 and Colossians 3:10 (above) are saying the same thing. However, one simply says New Man, and the other says Christ. Truly our bodies are the bodies of Christ.

Ephesians 5:29-30

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

Our bodies are actually Jesus' body. They are His flesh and bone. It cannot sin, because it is the body of Christ. Our souls are members of His flesh and of His bones. This is what Jesus meant when He was speaking to Mary. He said, I AM THE RESURRECTION.

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Yes, we believed on Jesus and qualified to receive the Holy Spirit. Thus we died during the operation of Faith (salvation). However, we rose from the dead; yet not us, but Christ rose from the dead. Thus, we die sinners, but Christ is the resurrection.

Galatians 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Herein, concludes the Operation of Faith.
