We learned yesterday about the new creature – which is the soul hidden in Christ. We also learned what it means to be in Christ as opposed to Christ being in us.
When we speak about being in Christ, we mean the soul is in Holy Ghost
When we say Christ is in you/us, we actually mean that the Holy Ghost is in our bodies.
I want to take today’s Sunrise and look more closely at what it means for Christ's Spirit to live in your body!
A helpful starting point is what the Bible tells us about Adam as shown in the Scripture below.
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. – Gen 2:7
God took earth and made a body, then He took air (the breath of life) and made a soul! The body that God had made was dead until He placed a soul in it!
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. – James 2:26
The body without the spirit is dead, we can, therefore, see that the body with the spirit is a living human being - made from natural elements. But could this be what God means by Christ being in the body? As usual, we must let the Word be our guide in answering this question. Do you remember when Nicodemus came to Jesus one night to get some answers from Christ having observed what His life was like? Jesus did tell him that it is a spiritual birth that is required.
But let us examine the power of God at work. If the spirit, placed in a body creates a living person, what say ye when the Spirit of Christ, enters your body? Doesn't He too become a living being in a human body and expresses Himself through us once our soul decides to obey His Spirit?
My answer is yes - He is Christ the Lord in Me! How about you?
Do join me in reading the following Scriptures so that we can and rejoice together.
For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Jesus is on earth again. Our bodies literally belong Him. For every Son of God who is in submission to the Will of the Father, they are allowing the life of Jesus to continue to to be lived through human vessels/bodies that He purchased at Calvary and at the time we received His Holy Spirit.
Jesus does not force us to obey the Father as love is demonstrated by obedience. If we choose to obey Him in all things, we get to experience His life on earth! Let us be "Good Stewards" of His temple, Allow Him to continue to live in Human vessel.
We are bone of His bone! We have been joined to the Body of Christ. What a priceless gift God gave to the world.
