1 John 5:3-4 “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith”
God just wants you to be who you are so that you can truly show people who He is. There should be no variation between the life you live and the life of the Son who came before you, which is Jesus Christ. Holiness is not limited to an age or stage in your life. Every relationship, be it family, romantic, friends etc. you are called to be the very Christ. You do not put God’s will on the back burner for your convenience and then expect that he will reward or honor that.
Heaven is more than just a reward for living the “good life” here on earth, no deed or amount of money given to charity is sufficient enough to cover the entrance fee to heaven. However, God, being the awesome father He is, knows this and allowed the blood of his precious son to be shed for our sins. By his stripes we are healed, and his grace is now sufficient. Jesus, now having settled this debt, requires us to simply be as He was here on earth, we were given everything we need to accomplish this. The Holy Spirit has no material or monetary value, it is indeed priceless but if we were to put a price on it, there would be no currency in this world that could compete with it. With the gift of the Holy Spirit, we can now enter the true royal family and fellowship with our father.
