We begin this Love Week reminding ourselves of the greatest love story of all times: the story of Jesus and His Love. This week includes Valentine's day which we will also be bringing in focus as we look at the amazing virtue of love which we are celebrating.
Let us pause to consider that God is Love and in His love and mercy drew the plan of salvation. He was the one who determined that we would be made children of God by His Son Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our Faith.
The plan of salvation included the fact we were triply brought into the family or house of God! (Prophet Jesse Mc Cree)
1. We are born again into the family of God and become His sons. John 1:12-13.
📖But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

2. We received the adoption of sons. Galatians 4:4-5
📖But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons

3. We are the bride of His Son, Jesus Christ!
📖Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; ........ This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church
Ephesians 5:25- 32 KJV
Jesus came to earth to show us the love of God and taught and did many wonderful things; yet he was hurt, despised and rejected by many. He however chose to forgive everyone and made a way for them to be a part of His family.
By the preaching of the good news or gospel those who turn away from their sins can receive His life and love in their hearts. They would be then enabled to love as He does if they choose to by nature.
📖And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Romans 5:5 KJV
Today He still calls persons to be a part of His family. He desires that those of us who are now a part of His family walk in His unconditional love and forgiveness so He can work in and through our lives to extend His awesome Love family.
