As I continued to fellowship with the Lord concerning this series on dealing with emotions, I began to hear Him speak to me. He said:
“It is interesting how many of My people have learned and trained themselves to live without the true influence of My Spirit. They wake up and say prayers they believe I receive, yet if they waited on My Spirit, I would show them how I truly feel about them. Many in the Body of Christ have become desensitized to the true walk in the Spirit because their abundant service to Me has deceived them. However, My Word cannot be broken. Consider the scriptures below and ask yourself if you truly believe them—because if you did, you would allow yourself to experience them…
Galatians 5:24
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Galatians 5:16
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Philippians 4:6-9
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Ephesians 3:14-20
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
John 7:38
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Mark 11:23
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
…The reason many of My people do not believe these scriptures is that they have grown accustomed to following Me by willpower rather than the true power of My Spirit. They have relationships with their minds, thinking they have true fellowship, yet in their hearts, they reject My holy Word. As I said, the scriptures cannot be broken.
Nevertheless, I am a merciful God. I will teach you My ways. You can learn of Me. But I require you to seek Me sincerely—seek Me until I respond. Seek to know the true move of My Spirit. Do not become content with the offering you are satisfied with, but wait on Me. I will let you know when I am satisfied. I will teach you the way of the divine—I will visit you and manifest Myself in you. I require you to be a manifestation of the true walk in the Spirit or nothing at all.”
Saints, we must respond to God now! "But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." (1 Corinthians 6:17) Through salvation, we are able to feel godly emotions. However, have we accepted a lukewarm reality that overlooks absolute scriptures? Let us examine what we truly believe, because perhaps the Christian life we are offering to God is based on a lying reality.
Mercy is here. Do not live a lie—let God have His way in you. Wait on His Spirit. Wait on the move of His Spirit, and He will teach you His ways.
