How to Abide Daily in God’s Love

Reading: 1 John 4:16-21

The funny thing about loving God is, you can’t do it without loving His people. When you get saved, God makes you inseparable from the rest of the Body of Christ. In fact, other Christians become extensions of you that you never knew you had; and you become extensions of them. You also inherit God’s compassion for souls who are lost and held captive by Satan.

Although these things come with receiving the Holy Ghost, each day you must accept that this is your nature and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit. He will always lead you into loving your fellow man. He will lead you into honoring and serving others above yourself. Accept that there is no other life for you but to sacrifice your own desires so that others may come to know Christ. And even when it doesn’t seem like your attempts to love are having an effect on anyone, trust the word. It is filled with so many testimonies of Christ’s example of love - and look at the effect it is having today!
