Luke 22:31-32
31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Isn't it good to know that Jesus is praying for us. He also prayed for Peter that his faith fail not. Our faith has failed when we no longer believe God's testimony of Himself, of sin and of us. We go through various trials in life that we may grow thereby and count ourselves worthy of the kingdom, however, there is another reason.
We also go through trials for others.
...and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Though the sifting may feel intense, it is actually what strengthens you in the faith. Now that you are strengthened, you now have the ability not only to endure more trials but to teach others how to. You are now considered valuable to the kingdom. God wants to use you, so be steadfast; your faith can be infallible.
