Likeminded

I was in fellowship with God the other day, reading His word and the following scripture jumped out at me. Phil 2:19- 21 - But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. This saddened me to the core of my heart.

I want you to consider the fact that Paul had devoted his life to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In fact, He had raised many ministers, did many works, and had many churches. However, His testimony concerning those that were available to minister was that he could only send Timothy because He was the only one like minded. Out of all the persons Paul had birthed into Christ, He could only identify one as fruit.

This reminds me of the scripture that lets us know that straight is the gate and narrow is the way to the Kingdom of God. In my years of ministry, I can relate to how Paul felt. I have seen many name the Christian name, however, they simply do not live as Jesus, and do not intend to. The sad part to this is that they do not realize that they are not heaven ready. Some are mean, others self-centered, unforgiving, proud and the list continues. However, if God was in need, would He consider you? Let us work out our salvation with fear and trembling because the righteous shall scarcely make it in.
