The Faith of Jesus Christ

CHALLENGE GUIDELINES

The Father said to me, if you spend time in communion with me, I will bless you. For the next 14 days give God at least an hour a day of undisturbed prayer, worship and fellowship (no excuses).

Leave the things that concern you in God’s hands. Trust Him with them.Ask Him only for the things that He wants you to have right now.Ask Him to reveal those things to you in His timing.Spend most of your fellowship blessing God and praying for others. However, the things that concern you, leave them in God’s hands.Journal your experiences, and impressions.Bonus + Skip a meal a day as a fast to the Lord, use that time as your hour to pray in earnest to the Lord.

The Faith of Jesus Christ

Eternity has been a theme in the Trust Exercise. It seems that God wants us to be aware of His world beyond this earth. One thing that the Lord placed on my heart was the Faith of Jesus Christ. Many times we look at eternity from the perspective that God knew us from before we were born. In addition to this we also agree that He predetermined our lives, and the course of it. Whether good or bad, we know it works together for our good. This was a 'good' that was designed for us before God ever said let there be light.

However, let us take a moment and consider something that Jesus said. Heb 10:5 - Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: God never enjoyed the animal sacrifices Israel offered, because they were not able to set a soul free from sin; thus we know that Jesus came into the world born of a virgin, and died on a cross that we might be free. Though this is true, is this all that Jesus meant when He spoke those words from eternity? Listen to yet another word from our Lord echoing from eternity.

Psalm 139:16 - Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

'Substance' here is indicative of His body. We are the body of Christ. God knew us all before the world was, and and He saw the substance of Christ (all who would be in Him (Eph 2:14-16)) before there was any of us. However, in continuance (as time goes on), the eternal body of Christ continues to be revealed.

I have said much so far, however, I want us to take this moment and consider that when God saw you from eternity, He not only saw your soul, but your body as well. Your body was one that was prepared for Christ. He foresaw all you would ever go through after you received the Holy Ghost, every trial and tribulation, basically all you are facing now, and still decided to come inside of you. His faith in you has already overcome the world. He already loves God, He already believes, He is living and is alive in you. Your life is not intimidating to Him. However, do you trust what He will do if you let Him live through you? Trust Him today, and let His faith flourish through you.
