Wait on the Lord
Psalms 37:7
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Wait on the Lord! Time is not running out, stop chasing it and relish each moment with Your Father. He allows everything that happens to us to fulfill His purpose. He knows us. He knows what we need, what we do not, what we can handle and what we cannot. Above all, He desires to spend time with us. He loves you and wants to spend time with you. Does He not deserve that? We get so caught up in 'ourselves,' and 'our own lives' that we fail to remember that we do not even belong here. We are just pilgrims passing through this world and this life we live is not ours.
Galatians 2:20 KJV
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
We set certain goals for ‘our’ lives like; own first car by this age, married by that age, and retired by another age. We number the kids we want to have the experiences we want to face. If things were ever not to go how we planned what a catastrophe that would be! Sometimes we reset/push back the goals and find some reason to appease ourselves because they were not met. We keep working towards it and if they do not happen depression sets in. Yikes!
There is nothing wrong with having a desire for things, however, when it becomes an issue is when we are willing to defy God to get it. God is the master of our lives. He calls all the shots. Allow Him to guide, and choose, and select. Whether it be a house, car, or even friends. Your body belongs to Him, and He knows how to use it well.
God is an on-time God, He provides what we need exactly when we need it, not when we want it. Wait, wait on God.
