Whatsoever Things Are Honest

1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

The hidden things of dishonesty are secret things in your life that prevent you from being able to truthfully declare that you are righteous and a true example of a son of God. These are considered things of dishonesty because you make an effort to appear sinless but in reality, you know you are not.

Phil 4:8 tells us to think on things that are honest. What is the truth concerning you and your walk with God? Is your heart pure? Can you be totally transparent before God, man, and the devil and be considered an authentic Christian?

Though these are questions many ask themselves, in my encounter with the Lord He encouraged me that I am honest (sincere/authentic) and honorable before Him. I do not have to go through the loop of constantly condemning myself for past failures because I know that presently, I am righteous, and there is no hidden thing in me.

Now, it's simply for me to embrace that God feels the same way about me. I am authentic, I am an example, I am honest, and it is ok to think like that.
